About the Artist

First State Ringers

First State Ringers is an advanced handbell choir based in Newark that brings a wide range of handbell music to audiences throughout New Castle and Cecil Counties.

Their performances blend precision, shimmer, and expressive ensemble playing, showcasing everything from energetic contemporary pieces to rich, lyrical arrangements.

The group highlights themes of community, creativity, and the joy of discovering a musical art form that reaches far beyond holiday traditions. As an auditioned ensemble affiliated with Newark United Methodist Church, they continue to expand their repertoire and recently added new seasonal and concert works to their 2025 program.
